I’m always on the lookout for great face masks that cleanse and exfoliate. While growing up, my grandma would often provide me with home made masks and peel, made from natural ingredients. Back to the present day, its difficult to find good quality masks that don’t break me out. The really good ones tend to be a bit overpriced (imho). Anyway, I stumbled on this mask during a recent trip to Mumbai. Let me jump into the review 😀
Charcoal is famous for its dirt absorbing properties and fuller’s Earth (clay) is used to reduce sebum or oil production. Conbine the two and you have the Fabindia Charcoal mask.
The product retails for Rs 250 (roughly 5 USD) and can be used as a dupe for the Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask (which retails at almost 25-30 USD).
The first thing that stands out is how smoothly this Product applies. Whether you have a tiny amount or take a large blob, the mask always applies very even, to the point where it almost looks like a peel off mask .
Depending on how thickly you apply it, the mask takes anytime between 10-25 minutes to dry off. One problem I had with this mask is there is a bit of flaking when the mask dries on the face. Minor issue – but don’t sit on White furniture with it on!
My skin looked pretty great after I washed the mask off. There was a bit of tingling, so if you have super sensitive skin, this mask may not be for you. For the price, it does get the job done !
