This is the first TO product I tried. And it didn’t wow me as it did million others world over.
Looking at the ingredient list, there aren’t that many:
Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Carrageenan, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum, Cocoyl Proline, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.
The packaging with the sturdy glass bottle and white dropper is super easy on the eyes. Very minimal like the ingredient list.
The product has no smell. It is a clear, slightly thick liquid, kinda like the lenses cleaner. I put 2-3 drops in my hand and lightly patted it all over my face excluding the eyes and lips. It absorbed really well, in less than 5 min. It initially feels sticky while applying but once absorbed dries matte and feels very smooth. Like a primer. This may not sit well with people who have very dry skin and looking for a moisture boost.
I used this in the peak of summer and was pretty happy with the matte smooth finish. My face even seemed slightly glowy. I spent the rest of the day at work as usual and came back home in the evening and took a quick look at my skin in the mirror. And looked again… and again. My forehead and cheeks were covered with very very tiny flesh colored spots like how volcanic magma bubbles up? At this point, I almost shot my bottle straight into the bin, then stopped and convinced myself that I would try it again for few days at some other time once my skin settled down. And I did. And on every one of those occasions, my skin reacted the same. And sadly that’s how my trial with this product ended.
I will, however, save this bottle for my friend with another skin type who loves to try new products. And maybe her experience will end in a lifelong relationship with this product like it has for countless others.
I have oily, breakout prone skin and I have to admit it didn’t wow me either😐
