AVENE VERY HIGH PROTECTION SUNSCREEN CREAM SPF50+

This is one of my favorite sunscreens!

Attachment-1

The ingredient list is snooze-worthy:

AVENE THERMAL SPRING WATER (AVENE AQUA). OCTOCRYLENE. C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE. BUTYLENE GLYCOL. DIMETHICONE. DIISOPROPYL ADIPATE. METHYLENE BIS-BENZOTRIAZOLYL TETRAMETHYLBUTYLPHENOL. CYCLOMETHICONE. WATER (AQUA). TITANIUM DIOXIDE. BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE. BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOXYPHENOL METHOXYPHENYL TRIAZINE. GLYCERYL STEARATE. PEG-100 STEARATE. POTASSIUM CETYL PHOSPHATE. PVP/EICOSENE COPOLYMER. CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE. CAPRYLYL GLYCOL. DECYL GLUCOSIDE. DIMETHICONOL. DISODIUM EDTA. FRAGRANCE (PARFUM). GLYCERYL BEHENATE. GLYCERYL DIBEHENATE. HYDROXYETHYL ACRYLATE/SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER. ISOHEXADECANE. POLYSORBATE 60. PROPYLENE GLYCOL. SILICA. SORBIC ACID. SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE. STEARYL ALCOHOL. TOCOPHERYL GLUCOSIDE. TRIBEHENIN. XANTHAN GUM.

They reportedly have a fragrance/silica free version as well. But only the above version is available in my country. And it doesn’t seem to have any fragrance.

Moving on to why this sunscreen is so special to me. This is a thick white cream that spreads well on the skin. It’s little sticky though, as are most sunscreens. But it absorbs well and is best for dry skin people like me. It leaves my skin well moisturized, lets it breathe, doesn’t feel heavy or clogging and causes no white panda look.

I was able to wear this to the beach, stay out all day in the sun without getting sun burnt or tanned. There was absolutely no irritation or increase in comedones / pimples. In fact, my skin felt like it had been doused with some magic calming potion.

I also wore it while I was on oral Vit A and Accutane medication and experienced no dryness or sun burn. Not even a tan. Now THAT’s what I call a sunscreen.
