Oh LORD this shampoo! Hair cleansing cream, xyz uvw …., whatever you may want to call it. It is THE shit. The Bees Knees – of all the shampoos I’ve tried in my life time (so far).
Here is Redken’s description of this shampoo:-
Redken Hair Cleansing Cream Shampoo clarifies and works to remove copper, iron, hard water minerals and styling product build-up on all hair types. Formulated with fruit acids to add shine, it purifies and refreshes hair.
That’s it. Redken’s description of this product is just so short, simple and precise. They make no fake promises of transforming your hair into that of Kate Moss or Sofia Vergara. Btw have you seen Sofia’s hair?! 😍 😍Forgive me, I digress. 😪
So, back to the product – the shampoo is a light creamy liquid that faintly smells like fruits. Just really subtle and not at all overpowering, the smell is really pleasant and an absolute delight.
When mixed with water, the shampoo foams extremely well to wash away all dirt, grime, oil, product build-up, hard water minerals, etc. U only need a small amount since it is quite concentrated. And after ALL that washing, my hair is left feeling squeaky clean yet insanely soft and silky. Now THAT is what I call a shampoo. No wonder this shampoo has such a strong fan following. It is that good! U have to try it to believe it!
Retailing at £14.00 for 300 ml, the shampoo is currently on sale at Feelunique for £10.25. I’m sure there are countless other sites/ stores which have this product on sale during winter, so go grab yours now! 😄
This sounds great, I use African black soap on my hair. I’ll try this out.

Oh man Redken everything is just THE BEST. I really, really want to try this; I desperately need a good clarifying shampoo. Do you use a Redken shampoo normally? And if so, does this compliment it well?

Although, I have used other Redken products in the past (extreme range), I’m currently using Ogx’s sulphate-free Awapuhi ginger shampoo once a week with Redken’s cleansing cream/H&S anti-dandruff shampoo every once in 3-4 weeks. Def. works for my hair – no dryness, greasiness or itchiness. I believe the clarifying shampoo will work just as well with other Redken shampoos. 👌

Agree this is an amazing product. My hair dresser use it to thoroughly clean my hair before hair treatment. It smells amazing and leaves hair squeekly clean.

Perfect timing! I was just thinking I about getting a new clarifying shampoo. My last one was just way too stripping. I need to get rid of buildup, but I also need moisture! This one sounds amazing–thanks for the recommendation. 😀

Can you use this as an everyday shampoo? Also what conditioner do you use it with? Thanks! Great post 🙂

Oh, no. It’s a once in a 2-3 weeks shampoo since it’s really clarifying. During those other weeks inbetween you can use any other normal shampoo. Since the hair cleansing removes all the product build-up, grease, hard water minerals, etc. you’ll find your other normal shampoo being more effective. I normally follow it up with Aveda’s black malva conditioner, but just about any other deep conditioner or leave-in conditioner will do.
